Dhir Kansara is a cinematographer from Ahmedabad, now based in Mumbai. He studied at Mindscreen Film Institute, Chennai, and began his filmmaking journey at 18 in the Gujarati film industry. He was part of the National Award-winning feature film Hellaro.

Dhir has assisted renowned DPs like Tassaduq Hussain and Rakesh Haridas, and recently contributed to the Nilaya Anthology campaign by Early Man Film, directed by KM Ayappa and shot by Tassaduq Hussain. He has collaborated with leading production houses such as Early Man Film, Good Morning Films, Ransom Film, Chrome Pictures, and Ram Madhvani Films.

He has worked with filmmakers including Bharat Sikka, Amit Masurkar, Shashanka Chaturvedi, Ram Madhvani, and Afshan Hussain Shaikh. He was also the 4th DOP on Aarya Season 3.

Most recently, he shot a short film on Super 8mm, currently being processed in London.

Dhir believes in experimenting—finding the right balance between the surreal and the real, and pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling.
